Can the film be installed outside?
It holds to the window with a static cling. There is no adhesive. I installed mine on an inside window yesterday and in my opinion it would work outside just fine.
What color do I get? Is one of them the most common? Which is recommended?
Depends how dark do you want. With Silver, you can still see outside with a little tint. The black one will block most of the light and will look almost like a dusk environment
Is this product safe to install on dual pane windows?
I have double pane windows argon gas-filled windows and patio doors that I used this on. I have had no issues at all. It worked out great.
Does any of the blue inside affect the silver outside?
The blue and silver are seperate and don't affect each other. it looks like a glass reflecting all light.
I'm looking for something to eliminate as much light coming in as possible. Would a product like this do that job?
This isn’t going to completely darken your room but it does a good job at reflecting light away from your window.
